Employment Training & Support

The purpose of the Training and Support Program is to create an opportunity for participants to explore options that allow personal growth, new life experiences, and opportunity to have choice and a variety of self directed activities. The program provides participants with training experiences based on their Essential Life Style Plan. The Employment Training and Support Program has developed a multitude of training options and learning experiences that encompass all current programs offered, and utilize community and staff expertise to facilitate program options.

Program options include:

• Food Services/Restaurant Skills
• Packaging and Assembly Work
• Supported Work Maintenance/Landscaping Crews
• Card making
• Candle making
• Janitorial training

The participants work with a supervisor to promote the training necessary to achieve their highest quality of work ethics. These programs provide unique life experiences for the participants and assist with independence with their life goals.

Packaging and Assembly

Packaging and Assembly crew can work at your location or at ours, whichever works best for the contractor.

• Attaching Samples to Brochures
• Laminating

Presently our Packaging and Assembly crew have an on-going contract with PHS assembling medical kits.

Cards and Candle making

Cards and Candle Services offers unique quality handcrafted items. They are two separate crews that strive to maintain the highest quality of product that can be designed to fit your needs.

Food Services Program

The Food Services Program focuses on essential knowledge and understanding of food and nutrition. It stresses the importance of making healthy food choices in order to promote the well being of individuals and families. The Program also aims to develop self-reliance, independence, and positive social skills as well as teach basic life skills and knowledge that all individuals need.
